Why it matters

OptimistFi's calculation shows gold recovered exceeded gold sold by 1,162 oz Au in Q3 2026.

That means Mako produced more metal than it sold during the quarter.

The filing says San Albino saw lower feed grades because more historical dump material was used.

It also says Moss Mine remained mechanically constrained by the legacy plant.

The $119.3 million cash figure matters because it gives Mako room to fund construction at Mt. Hamilton and Eagle Mountain.

The main risk is that the Moss throughput upgrade, the final ESIA and the Q4 2026 production lift are still future plans.

What's next

On October 16, 2026, Mako received US Forest Service permits to begin condemnation drilling at Mt. Hamilton once it posts and gets acceptance for a $265,205 bond.

The company expects approval for a minor plan amendment later this year and says that timing should not affect its schedule.

At Eagle Mountain, Mako expects to file the final ESIA in the fourth quarter of 2026, with approval soon after.

It also said drilling at Eureka is expected to begin later this quarter after October permits were received.

Mako said the Moss crushing circuit upgrade should lift throughput to more than 12,000 short tons per day by Q3 2027.

Those milestones will show whether the permit progress and plant upgrades lead to higher production.
