If you ever questioned whether Ascena Retail Group Inc (NASDAQ:ASNA) could drive traffic and sales at its Lane Bryant stores this fall, a second collection by Christian Siriano is your answer. The company has said that customers can walk into its Lane Bryant stores or get online to buy exclusive fall assortment designed by Siriano, the New York based famed designer of women apparel.
Lane Bryant’s Siriano-designed fall collection comprises of sportswear that include coats, tops, dresses and skirts. Ascena added that the Siriano assortment feature stunning lace and faux fur detailing. On top of the sportswear, Lane Bryant’s fall assortment also includes accessories such as belts and handbags.
Lane Bryant’s fall collection includes a glamorous white maxi dress that the store says was voted into production by its social media fans on Facebook. The dress is exclusively available online.

Ascena said that the assortment of Siriano-designed apparel available at its Lane Bryant store this fall is available in a wide range of sizes. The pieces are available in sizes 14 to 28. Those can be bought in physical and online stores. However, interested in size 10 and 12 can only access through Lane Bryant’s website.
What about the price?
The Siriano-designed pieces retail in the price range of $58 to $268 whether you are getting them online or offline in the stores.
New York Fashion Week
As part of its New York Fashion Week event, Ascena said that Siriano will make an appearance at its Lane Bryant store at 34th Street in New York on Sept. 13. The company said that those who show up for the event will have the opportunity to hang out with the famed designer and enjoy snacks and sips with him. Attendants can also enter to win Lane Bryant gift cards for $500 and other prizes.
Efforts to spur sales and profitability
The actions being taken at Lane Bryant such as rolling out a second collection of Siriano designs are geared toward boosting sales and the bottom line. In its F3Q2-2016, Ascena reported $15 million in profits, down from $24 million in the same quarter last year. Though revenue of $1.67 billion rose 45% YoY it still missed the consensus estimate. Analysts on the average were looking for revenue of $1.73 billion for the quarter.
Ascena is set to report its F4Q results on Sept. 19.
